An Opportunity to Volunteer

TC TINKERS 4-H Robot Club is looking for people ages 5 to 19 years old to become Members and adults to become Volutneers.  4-H is a United States Department of Agriculture program that was started in 1902, over 100 years ago.  As part of the process of staying current with Ag technology advances they are adding Robotics as a subject that a club can be organized around as part of their push to include Science, Engeineering, and Technology (SET) in 4-H.
Our focus is on Robots,  Robotics, and Automation, which is the leading edge of Field Robotics.
Adult members of the old Robot Club can continue their membership by filling out the paperwork and becoming adult Volunteers (no membership fee for adults).

Through 4-H :
Financial aid is available.
Robot Club becomes a 501(c)3 under Michigan State University's exemption.
Scholarships to MSU are available.
Trips, training camps, seminars, and other 4-H activities are available.
Studies abroad are available as a Foreign Exchange Student .
Club records and procedures are standardized.
Fundraising assistance is available.
Grants are available.
Background checks of volunteers are done.
Extensive access to MSU and 4-H resources and materials.
Tax deductions available for adults volunteers
The Robot Club is covered by 4-H liability insurance.
There are many more benefits that I am sure I will discover as I work my way through the pile of 4-H brochures, 4-H booklets, and 4-H web pages.

Contact me today if you are interested in getting involved in helping the next generation learn robotics, who knows what you might learn along the way too.
